Enjoy 6 hours of venue access for your micro wedding in Colorado Springs. This includes 2 hours of setup by the venue, 3 hours for guests on-site, and 1 hour for breakdown and cleanup. Additionally, you have access to The Lounge and The Cottage 2 hours before guest arrival, ensuring a smooth preparation.

MICRO WEDDINGS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. When can Simply Wed be booked?

• Tuesday or Wednesday can be booked a year in advance.
• Thursday – Monday must be booked within 120 Days of the Event and is Contingent on Catering availability.

2. What times are available for Simply Wed?

• Times are set to avoid Typical Meal Times so the Charcuterie Board and Cake is ample food. We recommend that your invitation timeline notes: Hors D’oeuvres Served so they know it is not a dinner.

4. Would we be able to bring other food in besides the Charcuterie Board?

• We are bound by State Food Service Guidelines so you can bring in additional baked goods or pre-wrapped foods that do not require Temperature Control. They must be delivered to the Venue 1-hour prior to Venue Access, on platters that are staged ready to set out.
• All Food Must Be prepared and staged by the Venue’s Simply Wed Package Licensed Retail Food Service Provider.
• It is not possible to serve a Dinner instead of the Charcuterie Board during the 3 hour guest window for Simply Wed. If you want a dinner, request a quote for our Wedding & Reception Rates. Quote Request

5. Does the Charcuterie Board and Cake have dietary Restriction Options?

• Our Caterer can provide Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten Free Options, however additional fees may apply. If you have dietary needs, the Caterer does a great job of working with you.

6. Does 3-Hours of Venue Access include time in the Getting Ready Hospitality Spaces?

• You have access to the Getting Ready Spaces for 2 hours prior to your 3 hour Venue Access Time/Guest Arrival

7. Can personal items be left in the Getting Ready Spaces?

• All items must be removed from the Getting Ready Spaces after at the conclusion of the 2 hour access time. Your cars will be close by, so it’s an easy transition, but a great thing to assign to a friend or an attendant to take care of.

8. Can I add additional hours to the Venue Rental or Getting Ready Spaces?

• Maybe. Send us an email with the request and we’ll see if the schedule will accommodate the purchase of an extra hour. There is a maximum of one (1) extra hour of Venue Access at $500 per hour, and a maximum of one (1) extra hour for

• Space.

9. Can I rent the Family Room?

• Maybe, if it is available, at the rate $500 for four (4) hours. See Family Room Policy found on your Booking Agreement.

10. Does Simply Wed include a Wedding Coordinator or do we need to use our own?

• Simply Wed includes a Day of Coordinator and Facility Host
• It is not necessary to have a Wedding Planner, unless you just want to, or are planning on adding to your day with a lot of extras not included in the Simply Wed Package. If this is the case, let us know ASAP as some approvals may be needed.

11. Who Sets up and cleans up?

• Hearth House Staff sets up for 2-hours and spends 1 hour for cleans up

12. When do we pick our Cake flavor, Florals, Linens and decide on a floor plan and timeline?

• The standard offering is: 10″ Round Naked Cake – Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream + additional cake to supplement servings if applicable. You do have the option of Chocolate as well.

13. Can we do a tasting and pick the items we want?

• There are no tastings with Simply Wed Package. If there are dietary concerns, reach out to the Support team as soon as possible. Additional fees may apply depending on the nature of the dietary request.

14. Can I add extra florals or extra cake?

• If you want to add extra florals or desserts, let the Support Team know and we’ll put you in direct contact with the floral and cake vendors who you will work with and pay directly.
• Please let us know before you order additional food, drink, or decor as they may need approval.

15. Can we add on a Bar Package?

• Maybe, if your timeline allows and the Simply Wed Bar Provider is available.

• We’ll introduce you to the Bar Service Provider who you will work with and pay directly.
• You can provide your own champagne and disposable flutes for a celebratory toast.

16. Can we have a cash bar?

• No. The Venue does not have a Liquor License to sell alcohol and a BYOB where you just bring in alcohol and let people self-serve is illegal.

17. Can we bring alcohol if we drink it from our cars or in the parking lot?

• No. If you don’t hire our Bar Service Provider, you cannot serve alcohol, other than the Champagne Toast.

18. Can we have a DJ?

• Simply Wed does not permit a DJ.

19. Do I need a Master of Ceremony (MC) since we don’t have a DJ?

• Yes, it is required that someone you know and trust, who is typically not a guest, act as your MC to make announcements and manage the Device/Playlist Music. Your in-house Planner is not responsible for said services.

20. How does the In-House Sound System Work?

• You will receive an email with the Inhouse Sound System Policies prior to your 30-Day Walkthrough. In the meantime, you should start building your playlists with Ceremony music on a separate playlist. Your playlists must be on a tablet, or cellphone that is plugged directly in to the System so your MC can manage the Music and Microphones.

21. Will you help me find a photographer?

• There are many photographers listed on our Website’s Family Favorite Vendor List

22. Do we need to do a rehearsal?

• There is no need for a rehearsal, Simply Wed is just that, Simple.
• Our Support Team will go over the details of the ceremony with you about 2-4 weeks out at the Final Walkthrough.

23. Can I bring my dog or pet?

• Yes, to the Ceremony only
• Pets must arrive onsite no more that 15 prior to the Ceremony and be with a handler at all times.
• Pets must be removed from the property right after the Ceremony.
• Pets cannot enter or hang out in the Getting Ready Spaces, inside or outside.

24. Can I change my payment method to pay by Credit Card?

• Maybe. CHECK/CASH Payments are our Standard accepted form of payment and are the rates we publish and advertise.
• However, we love to help when we can, so please email us with your request and we’ll edit your invoice and resend the new balance due with the pay by CHECK/CASH Discount removed.
• The $1,000 Damage Deposit must be paid by Check at the Final Walkthrough.

25. What does Hearth House Venue need from me?

• We do most everything at the 30-day Walkthrough.
• You will get an email prior to the Walkthrough with a Standardized Liability Waiver that covers the inhouse Sound System Policy and the Credit Card Authorization for the Damage Deposit.
• Please sign the Waiver before the Walkthrough so our Event Specialists can find it in the Honey Book Portal File.
• Remember to bring your checkbook to the Final Walkthrough if you have not yet paid your final payment or Damage Deposit.
• It is best to pay the final payment at the Walkthrough so we can adjust the total due to Guest Count increases.

26. What other suggestions do you have to make this small wedding successful?

• Truly, Simply Wed does not need anything else. The tables, shelves, and mantel will be beautifully decorated, there is plenty of food and there is time for everything every other wedding and reception has. it’s just not as much time to Dance and Drink.
• With only up to 45 Guests, you will have time to speak to everyone which makes for the most memorable and cherished weddings ever.
• Bring Photos in frames for the Shelves, we’ll supply the candles and greenery.
• Put together jpg images to play on the Flat Screen and try to include your guests in the photos. Just bring the jpgs in on a jump drive, not rendered or done in any special program like Power Point. It won’t work. No Video as it won’t play on our system.
• Be ok with what is included, and don’t try to over plan or do too much more. It’s all done for you. It is enough food, enough drink, and enough time to touch on all the important things of the day.

• Take your photos onsite at the Venue or before the wedding at a special place, like the lake, park or Mt Herman, so you don’t have to take time after the ceremony.
• Follow the timeline set and don’t try to fit a lot more in. It covers all the bases.
• Avoid bringing a lot or any extra stuff for decor etc… There is just not enough time to set anything else up and additional fees may apply if Hearth House is asked to handle additional set up.
